Motorcycle gas tank fail

So I'm getting my bike cranked up for this year (yes I know I'm a little behind the weather). It's been down for about 2 years now. New baby, life, and all, just haven't had the time or money to mess with it.........I go and get a new battery, drain the gas tank of the old gas, put about a gallon of new gas back in it, and by this time, it's late at night and time for a shower and bed. My wife wakes me in the middle of the night and asked if I took a shower. She is smelling gasoline inside the house. I just blow it off until this morning when I go outside and see that I now have a pin sized hole in my gas tank and all the gas that I had put in the tank the night before is now on the garage floor, along with a gummy mess of gas/paint/clear coat. Apparently it is rusting out from the inside out and the paint is all that was holding the gas in. I noticed a few air bubbles in the paint, but they turned out to be places where gas was trapped between the paint and metal.

Does/can anyone out there (reasonably local if possible), work on bikes and/or could weld my tank back up for me.......Or does anyone have a spare gas tank lying around that would fit a Honda 600 Shadow?

No welding needed.

They make a sealant that you can pour into the tank that works amazingly well.

Just pour it in,roll it around, and let it drip back out.Sealed!

+1 Several guys I know have used a sealant on old truck gas tanks, they said it works great. I think it's called Red something, they found it at Oreilly's. I'll ask for sure tomorrow.
