No one is advocating the overthrow of the world or anything, but there are severe problems and they seem to be getting worse. When the socialist health care plan is passed (and it will pass) along with crap and trade, we are on the down hill side. We can only hope more people will get out and vote in the next election and right the ship before it all goes down, or before our weakness is tested by another country.:)

The problem is vote for who? As the Who sang, "meet the new boss, same as the old boss." Just different degrees of the same crap. And once the Messiah has gotten his agenda through, it will be very difficult for anyone to unravel it.

I would suggest that any of these groups that might exist aren't likely to post about it on the internet.

Boy are you in for a surprise...:)

No, I'm not, as I'd further suggest the big boys who plaster the internet with tough-guy talk of another revolution are the guys who either won't do a thing if the time ever comes where it's necessary or they're (place tinfoil hat squarely on head) government plants hoping to figure out who is a 'radical extremist'.

Indeed, there's plenty of chatter among 'anonymous' big boys on the internet, but those aren't likely the folks who will act should push ever come to shove...

I don't buy it. I don't buy that these groups will mobilize against the direction that our nation seems to be taking when so many of them won't get off their lazy asses and vote, or at the very least won't vote against candidates that continue pushing us toward Socialism.

It is an almost weekly occurrence now that I will meet someone who tells me that they just recently bought their first firearm because they are afraid that the Obama Administration is going to make it impossible to do that sooner or later. It's also alarmingly frequent that these people voted for Obama.

So, yeah, I don't buy it. Americans have gotten too lazy to even mobilize peacefully.

+1 the only storm coming is an increase in apathy, if we can even get enough people to care about things to even be apathetic...

Ok...I have to agree with you there...the TOUGH talk is just that... TALK. The "groups" I refer to are making "noise" thru protests and letter writing campaigns much as we do here in support of agendas like 2nd Ammendment rights. Apathy is still an issue I agree....but I think in the coming months you're going to see a sea change there as well. I am in no way advocating sedecious behavior. Just using the same tactics that the LEFT has used so effectively for decades.

Keep in mind that while I don't mind the OP posting a link to the story, we in no way advocate any sort of secessionist nonsense. In fact, I've spoke out against that sort of thing here in the past and we still have a zero tolerance policy regarding it.

If this thread takes a turn toward that, it's done.

While I'm not stocking up arms to prepare for war, I am trying my best to offer education to others, on the topics of which candidates support our cause, and which don't, as well as those that have had "issues" with gun-control in the past. I believe that education, on a voting stance, will help more than anything else. I'll always support my friends whom are pro-2nd, though. (that's what I was getting at).

The system is not yet completely broken. When it does break, chaos will rule. In that chaos are you going to stand up with others and move the country back in the correct direction come hell or high water? I will see you at the rally point.

The system is not yet completely broken.

I dont see any place the system is not broken. Carrier polititians grease the wheels with private corporations and unions to get reelected. We write them showing our dipleasure on thier vote and they respond "the president wants it". If the parties they represent dont like the results of an elections they boot the person out of the party and nullify the election. Congress creates special rules for them and exempt themselves from the laws they pass for the rest of us. They can work as little as 2 years and get paid for the rest of thier life. There is no way they will vote themselves any restrictions, term limits, or anything that takes thier special treatment away.

Our judicial system is saying it is ok to have more votes than you have registered voters. Others are saying that "the supreme law of the land" does not apply to all of the land. They take peoples private property away and give it to industry and commercial big wigs. We have video evidence of voter imtimidation by a party official that is supposed to be keeping the polls free from influenance and the charges are dropped.

We have a president that, by his own confession, believes that our constitution is fundimentally flawed. In other words he believes that our way of government is flawed. He condems the self preservation of one country while at the same time openly supports the return of a different national leader that was attempting to violate that countrys constitution. Then gets on the camera in front of the world as tells them it is not our place to interfere with sovergn nations. POTUS nominates tax cheats for high level positions and they are confirmed by the tax cheats in congress. He nominates judges that are racist and sexist and thinks that the court makes the law rather than Congress and the president. He wants judges that will rule on empathy rather than law.

Our government continues to pass laws that violate the constitution but many of our citizens are cheering them on to pass more. To many people in this country are lining up to give this country away or convert it into the next third world nation. Our own government has labeled retuning veterans and people that are demostrating againt it as low level terrorists and potientally violent extremeist.

There are few becons of hope left in this country. We are going down a path that will lead to our destruction. We need to do something to turn this country around and put it back on the right track. I am not suggesting secession, or rebellion, or anything like that. We still have other options and I would suggest that we use them. The Constitution allows the states to hold a convention and pass ammendments around congress and the president. Times like this is exactally why it is there. We need to use that and place terms limits on Congress, repeal unconstitutional laws and put the harness back on big government. Right now there are something like 30 states that have or have passed bills and resolutions expressing thier rights under 10A. What has this done to the federal govt. Cap and trade and medical reform, 2 more areas the federal government has to authority to regulate.

I have spent 20 years under oath defending our country and our constitution against all enemies, forign and domestic. That oath does not expire nor will I violate it. In my opinion, right here right now, the biggest enemies to the constitution are most of the people that are holding the offices listed in that document.

There is a storm coming if we do not return our country to the ideas it was founded on. I can only pray that it will be during my time so that I can fight it rather than leaving another problem for my children to have to solve.

When I was growing up I was always taught that our flag should always be respected as a symbol of what our country stands for, and should never be allowed to touch the ground (among other things of course). yesterday, on my way home from work, I drove around something in the road, and realized it was an american flag out of someones car window. Not only did they not bother to pick it up, but I must have watched 20-30 cars drive past it. I got down the road a bit, turned around, and went back and got it, but the fact that at least 20 people, and whos knows how many before I got there, would leave our nations flag lying in the middle of the road to be run over, well, that should tell you a bit about how our country has been going recently.

I have one of the car window american flags in my back seat I picked up out of the middle of white bridge road last week.

I also stopped on Interstate 24 and picked one up that was in the median back in 04.

I never thought I would say this, but I am now firmly of the opinion that the only way to 'fix' this mess is to not vote (D) or ® any longer. I never thought I would be a third party candidate kind of guy, but after seeing what has happened in the past 2 years with both sides - I am done with them. when enough people get there, THAT is when we will start to correct our course.

Amen brother! I'm going that route myself.

the problem with third party politics is that they all try to out nutjob each other. Going third party when your party is not in power does nothing. If you really want to make a statement vote third party when your own party is sitting in the catbird's seat.

Again, that's how we ended up with Clinton. :tough:

we're pretty much DAMNED if we do...and DAMNED if we don't. Since I have been eligible to vote (1976)...the only REALLY successful 3rd Party candidate I know of to actually get elected to ANY OFFICE was Jesse Ventura...look at what a whack job he's turned out to be...one to many pile drivers as a pro wrassler I think

Guest pws_smokeyjones

I agree that in the past the 3rd party candidate has done little other than to skew the election results, and yes most of them have been 'nutjobs'. However this time around I think it may be different. In the past, the only people who voted 3rd party were the fringe folks (maybe they were the true visionaries after all). But now, I know a lot of 'normal' people who are completely fed up with the two major parties. Like I said - when enough people get there, then the 3rd party candidates may stop being the nutjobs. For example (pure theory and based on zero fact) if Sarah Palin ran as an independant - just a thought.:)

As for successful third party candidates, you'd have to throw Joe Lieberman in. Granted, he's really a Democrat, but the Democratic party spent a lot of money in defeating him in the Democratic primary (only to have the floor wiped during the general election when he ran as an independent).

Exactly - the point is (for me) to get away from people who are running based on past politics or party affiliation etc... and start looking for people who are running based on genuine ideas about how to get our country back on stable footing.
