RIP Top Notch Guns

This is the last day of operation for Top Notch Guns, between Bristol and Kingsport.

They've been around for a long time. First MAK-90 I bought was from them. Seems like the other gun shops have ceased to be a good place to just go by and visit. So, they will be missed.

I really liked that shop. Mike is a real good guy. I bought my last pistol from him about a month ago. That place was a friendly kind of shop where you could hang out and just shoot the breeze. I will miss it.

Always sad when a good shop closes up. I hope you guys out east have alternative places to shop/visit.

Oh yeah, there are lots of other shops. One is about 3 miles down the same road. But Top Notch was an old-style shop and the guy running it was, and is, a super guy. Someone with money should bankroll him for his own shop.

alternative places to shop/visit.

I do not know anywhere near all the gun shops in Tri-Cities, but from the ones that are still there that I know of, the people in Tri-Cities have way better options than people here in Knox County.
