Lowers S&W DPMS ??

As the prices start to come back down I’m thinking about building a .223 and will be watching for a deal on a lower.

I picked the S&W and the DPMS because they are well respected names and because the S&W would match my M&P handguns or the DPMS would match my .308 Panther.

That sounds like a woman doesn’t it? I know, that’s not a good reason, but it’s a start.

Anything I should know about the quality of one over the other? It is my understanding that neither S&W nor DPMS make these. So who makes them?

I own one of both and besides the logos and numbers I cant tell a difference.

And by the way, my M&P lower was bought for the same reason you stated.

I can't say as I see one standing out over the other. I have heard nothing bad about either.

My preference is for the Tactical Innovations, just because it has some cool features like the rear pin detent cap screw and the receiver tensioning screw.

For a trigger I highly recommend the CMMG match trigger. It is adjustable for take up (1 or 2 stage), length of pull and weight. It's truly a drop-in and takes minutes to install.

The YHM ez pull take down pins have grip-ability and I've installed them on both my ARs.
