Happy Fourth of July

To all the good folks on TGO:

I wish you and yours a safe and happy Independence Day. Whenever I see a military honor guard, I admit I get a little choked up, thinking what that simple but so well known flag represents to our country and to me personally. Those colors don't run!

People rally to our flag from around the world, because it stands for all we hold dear and for which many have paid the ultimate price of their lives. Regardless of these tough times, ours is still the best place on God's Earth to live and I refuse to give in to the naysayers and fear mongers in DC or state government. WE THE PEOPLE is not just some catch phrase; it was penned by men of great vision for this great Republic in which I am fortunate to live.

So, as we celebrate the anniversary of our independence, I salute all of you who each day make this a better country and know in my heart that everone's contribution matter. It's not the CEO or big shots, it's regular Joe and Jane, plugging away, that make this day special. Without regular folks, there would be no Republic for which Old Glory stands.

And please give a thanks to any LEO or fireman you see, who is on duty to keep us safe as we eat, drink, and celebrate. Plus (always) please keep our GIs in your prayers.
