I enjoy it ask Bronker bout coon hunting with it!

I'm scared to answer it here. The thread-drift-police might shut us down.

Quick summary: 5 yards, Hoyt vs. Coon.

Advantage: Hoyt.

There you have it. Drift over.

The only reason to upgrade would be - faster, quiter, and most of the time let off of holding back all the draw weight, lighter bows ... other than that no reason.

I'm shooting a older Jennings CMX.

Jennings Archery: CMX

My biggest concern with it is It doesn't seem very quite.

This is my first year hunting deer so I'm sure I'll find out how quite it is when or if I get a shot at one.

It has some sliencers on the braces are there any type of string silencers better than the other?

I'm about to get new cables and strings on it so I thought I'd ask before I did.

yeah i went out this morning and was going to practice some. and after I lost two arrows in the woods I was DONE. needless to say after 30 min of searching I went home, and called it a day. I will hit it hard tomorrow night. I was still bummed though.

Yes it does. I shot again tonight, about 40 times. I did okay, I cut some tree limbs down in my backyard to give me a better shooting area. I am still way to wavey, and I hate that. I just tell myself to chill out and sometimes it works, sometimes not so much.

One thing that I have figured out that I am doing is. I have been pulling 95% of my arrows to the right. My thoughts are that I am looking at where it's hitting before I really even get the shot off. I compare it alot to golf, I played for about 3 years. The main thing they tell you is keep your eye on the ball and it seems to me that this rule may apply here. Call me dumb or maybe even correct everybody, but that's what I think. I am still pulling them slightly, but not as bad. Still really getting used to the way the bow feels and everything about it. I do really enjoy shooting, just want to perfect it. Patience...that is the key.

you are right on track, just like golf also the follow through ! Keep the bow up after the shot don't let it rotate, also practice , practice ,practice and the when you think you have it practice some more.
