Motorcycle trip to Gatlinburg

The wife and I rode our motorcycles to Gatlinburg and spent a week for vacation. I thought I would post some pictures.

Here we are on the Tail of the Dragon. This was my wife's first time to ride the Dragon by herself.

I was stopped by some bikers and was told two trucks were trying to pass each other around the next curve and the road was blocked, so I thought I would ride down there and snap a picture of it. The white truck right side trailer wheels had dropped off of the payment.

I love me some Gatlinburg and GSMNP. But oddly enough I don't think i have ever been on the Dragon.

You could not pay me to ride it on a bike.

The freak show in town is the real entertainment.

I avoid Gatlinburg like I avoid the clap. Two wheels or four. I don't have the patience needed to drive in that traffic. And I used to live in Atlanta.

During the week its not to bad. But on a holiday or weekend go early in the morning and get out by about 1 pm.

I'm with you. However if you know the back roads it's manageable. I love riding my bike over to Cosby and across the Smokies late in the afternoon.

Yerp. I like going through it in my little Mazda 3, and while I certainly do not drive for a time-distance record, we have to stop about three times going through for my Better Half. Oh well.
