Can anyone tell me the major differences in the 226, 229, and 239 models? I am in the market for a new one. I am also trying to decide on which caliber to go with. I am leaning towards a .40 or a .357.

the .40 and .357 are interchangeable with drop in barrels. you use the same mages for both.

I am probably gonna have a P229 Equinox in .40 for sale soon . some pics can be seen here on sig's site.

P226 and P229 both use double stack mags. P239 uses a single stack magazine and is better suited for people with small hands. Sigs are great guns in all models. They are contagious. You'll want another, then another.

i'd try to find a non-cali model with the 12 rd mags but it's a heck of a price. Sig mags are gonna run you $45 - $50 most places so take how many come with it into consideration when buying

I'm too lazy to check, but bkelm may still have his P228 for sale, and he's in your neck of the woods.

I don't like the sights on that one either. I want one with night sights.
