Commercial Appeal gave me a call

I am a former subscriber to that paper but dropped it earlier this year. I have been waiting for the "phone call" on re subscribing to the paper. Well my wife got it last night, that's right, they asked for her. They offered me the easy pay 9.5 per month rate, which is a good rate, but I demanded I have the phone. She gave me the phone and I talked to the gentleman. I told me that he is calling on behalf of the paper, call being recorded and I said, Recorded....good. Cause I have something to say.

I went into a rant about the liberal, one sided, totally biased, racially insensitive, politically driven garbage that this paper has become from the the reporters all the way up to the editor in chief. I told him I really hope this is recorded, I hope he has taken notes and lets all that will listen what I thought.

His response was nice. He said, well sir, I understand your feelings and your concerns, and it appears you have spoken directly to them in the best way possible by your actions on canceling your subscription. He was very polite and doing his job.

He then asked me about if I would be interested in the 9.50 per month easy pay program (I bet money they are required to ask that regardless of the conversation), I said No I am not. He thanked me for my time. Again, he was polite and professional.

My wife had this look on her face, and asked, What was that about, I told her as I finished my dinner.

As a local paper (Dickson Herald) subscriber, I received the Sunday Tennessean paper for free. They were quite perplexed when I called to complain about the free paper. I made them quit sending it.
