Does anyone know of any places hiring in or around Cookeville?

I've been working every summer as a plumber/electrician/chemist for a pool store up until a year ago when they let me go. Since being let go, I've yet been able to find a job anywhere(as I'm sure some of you know) and am starting to hurt a lot on the cashflow side.

The only reason I've been getting along as good as I have been is that I've been using a savings account I set up to buy the family farm in the future because it will be split up into 3 sections (three kids) and I can not bear to see something happen to the place I grew up and learned about life to be lost in the wind because they "don't want anything to do with farming". I wish my grandparents wouldn't care about upsetting them about giving the farm to just one person...then I wouldn't be in this situation. Long story short, the farm fund is tapped out with just enough cash to keep the savings account from closing down on me.

All of my money has went to school, books, and basic living expenses(with the exception of one $350 rifle for hunting) and now I'm getting closer to the red as I school draws near. I've been looking everywhere for quite a while, but it seems that most of the people hire the "local kids" and with the job market like it is...I am pretty much out of luck. Don't get me wrong though, when I said everywhere...I meant everywhere. I am a firm believer in that no one is too good for any job(I cleaned and delivered port-a-potties for 4 years). You can just leave a post here, pm me, or email clsutton21@gmail.com with any info that might help me along. I'm hoping to get school paid and restart my family farm fund.

Thank you,

Caleb aka clsutton21

Short version: I need a job in Cookeville, know anyone that is hiring?

With your experiance with electrical and plumbing, I would call around to alarm companies. The plumbing won't help except you know how to crawl.:D.

Try a hospital for a maintenance position. Always work in the health field.:koolaid:

I'm watching all the job boards anyway, so I'll keep an eye out for you too.

God luck.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be checking all of those avenues out. And thanks Arko for watching for me, too. I'll update if I find something.
