I was looking around for some way of reloading cheaply and found this kit on Cabela's Reloading . I was considering reloading my .38 .357 and .30-.30 as a hobby mainly. Would this kit last me?

The Lee Loader is what I started with 30 years ago. You probably won't be satisfied with it for long. Spend a little more initially and you will have less frustrations. The Lee Loader does load good ammo. Just very slowly.

There is a lot of used loading equipment out there, too.

Good luck and have fun!

It works well, but is S-L-O-W. Couple of benchrest world records were set on ammunition loaded with a Lee loading kit a while back.

I suggest springing for the press rather than the lee loader...for no other reason that you can easily swap dies. The 3 calibers that you will load combined will cost you more than the Anniversary kit.
