Most any dealer that does transfers will do a C&R transfer for you, same price too! In other words, a transfer is a transfer. Doesn't matter if it's C&R or not. You could get your 03FFL and do it yourself.... :(

I've done FFL transfers before, but in those cases, the gun was coming from another FFL. In this case, I need to find a shop that knows that it is ok to accept a firearm from an individual. The last two I called insisted that the gun had to come from an FFL.

Has anyone had any luck in this department in the Knoxville area (and at or under $25)

Ok I get ya. Coal Creek should have no problem with it. Austin's Tennessee Firearms in Oak Ridge will do it too (I know for a fact). $25 each.

I 2'd coal creek. I had to deal with David @ CCA the other day on this very issue b/c I had sold a gun over the internet and the other FFL would not accept a handgun unless it comes from another FFL. He an another guy at CCA were complaining to me how the idiots at the other shop didn't understand the law about unlicensed persons being able to send firearms...

FWIW, I did the transfers through Austin's Tennessee Firearms, and have a very good and not overpriced experience. I would recommend them for anyone looking for a transfer.
