Well I went to Guns and Leather on Monday and swapped in my Taurus PT1911 for a Ruger GP100 .357. I haven't carried my 1911 in months since I got my Taurus 24/7 so I decided to trade. Paid $619 for it new and got $500 for it and the Ruger was $529. Not saying I don't like 1911's but with it not liking hollowpoints too much I had second thoughts. Will probably get a new 1911 sometime in the future but will no doubt go with something better like a Kimber or Springfield.

That's nice! I like the GP100 (OK, I like Rugers).

If it only had a 1 inch shorter barrel.......Oh, thats right, then it would be an SP101!

Good job trading!!

I would say you made out pretty good on your trade. You got a sweet looking gun. I own a S&W 686 with 4'' barrel. they look alot alike. Never shot a Ruger. Let us know how it performs.

I love my GP100. It's about 20 years old (ok, young for a firearm, but still) and still going strong! Magnums are a hoot to shoot.
