BUG class?

Ok, I carry a full sized pistol for duty (G22), and carry a full sized pistol off duty (G17). In addition, I like to have something smaller close by/on my person. I just picked up a Kahr MK40, and after I break it in, I thought it would be neat to take a class dedicated to back-up/pocket pistols.

Are there any such classes in the Memphis area, or within a couple of hours of Memphis?

Any info will be greatly appreciated...

THANKS!

If it's close enough for you, let me know if you have any questions.

The link is saying "Defensive Pistol" for some reason, but it's actually a link to our "Advanced Concealed Carry."

Defensive Pistol

Todd, thanks for the info, and I apologize for not making myself more clear.

Although I know that I can take a smaller pistol to a 'regular' defensive/advanced pistol class, I'm looking for a class that is SPECIFICALLY tailored to subcompact/back-up/pocket style pistols.....

THANKS!

Hey Loaded, FWIW, I've talked back and forth with Todd here regarding this class, and described my wife's situation to him; I think that the class will still fit the bill for you. Reason is, my wife carries a very small Keltec P3AT as a primary EDC. But she carries primarily where one would carry a BUG---pocket, smartcarry, purse / briefcase. I asked him if the class would be appropriate for her still, even though she doesn't carry in the usual manners (IWB, OWB, OC, etc.). He made me quite comfortable that this class would be exactly right for her. In fact, she and I are planning to take his August offering. Maybe we'll see you there?

My unsolicited $0.02 :D

You bet, pal. Good luck. I've not met Todd, but folks here swear by him. I'm looking forward to the training. And though, I currently don't carry a BUG, I intend to do this class using more than one carry option, and more than one gun. So later, I'll have some experience with deploying from the pocket, etc.

Loaded...yes, this class is designed specifically for the subcompact/backup. Most drills work from your chosen concealment location, working with your normal carry setup.

The class description could be written better...I'm going to rewrite it in the next couple of days.

Bronker, thanks for the assist.

Certainly. As an aside...I'll be in touch soon. I'm compiling a guest list, so to speak...so far, the wife, me, and one other TGO'er.

Todd...this is starting to look more like what I was looking for...

I just need to determine whether the August or September class will work out better for me....

THANKS!

I've been to RangeMaster a couple of times. I didn't see a BUG class on his website, however....
