Gun safe moving?? Help!

I'm moving to TN in late July. The Clarksville area specifically. I have a 900 lb safe that is coming with. It is on a pallet and will arrive in a rental truck I.E, uhaul, budget, penske style with no lift gate. Most likely only a ramp. Can anyone point me to someone or a service that will unload and move into my house for me?

Unless it is going down stairs, it can be managed with a good hand truck and a few (3) strong guys. We put mine (36 gun with fireboard) in my basement and have put 2 in my Dad's, one of which was 1200 lbs. I wouldn't do that again but, we did it once. Both of my Dad's were down stairs and mine was via a basement garage. Hand truck and pipe to roll on worked out well.

With it coming out of the back of a truck with no lift-gate and just a rattly metal ramp, I don't think I'd want to be the guy trying to do it by hand.

I have called all that you guys have mentioned and get "Clarksville is far from us and it will cost you" so to speak. Are there any movers up in the Clarksville area that might do this type of work? Any Safe moving specialist perhaps in the area?

With Clarksville being on the border of the Ft. Campbell Army base, there have to be plenty of movers up there. Perhaps someone with experience using one of them will spot this and chime in.

I've moved my safe (also 900#) several times. Call the local companies and explain what you have and how you need to move it (i.e. off a truck). This last move I believe a local freight company sent some people out with a forklift. Prior to that I had a piano moving company meet my truck in Houston.
