S&B 9mm Brass is steel

Because we have so many new reloaders out their, Please be aware that S&B 9mm brass is brass plated steel. The stuff is hell on your dies and almost imposable to push a primer into. Just run a magnet thru you bucket of brass and they will stick. I do not reload this stuff. :koolaid:

CAUTION!......be careful running magnets through your brass because magnetized brass will throw off the rotation of your bullet and glock does not recommend shooting rounds with extra magnetic force. It is a +P+M designation.

Some...S&B brass is really really high quality stuff. They do make steel plinking ammo also.

But yeah - anything not made of brass is a big no-no for standard reloading dies.

I just ran a super strong magnet across some loaded S&Bs and it wouldnt stick to them. I think mine are pure brass.

S&B "Range Safe" ammo is steel cased but nice and shiney like brass. So beware if you pick any up off the ground expecting to reload.
