Discovery Channel program

So...did anyone see the program on Discovery last night..."The Somali Pirate Take Down"??? interesting show...we got the "unclass" version...but still a good program

I saw the previews and thought to myself, "Oh God, not a show to make the poor pirates look like they're just trying to feed their children or something."

nothing like that at all...thank god...it was mostly interviews with the cargo ships crew...and dramatization of the event.

You never know with DISCOVERY....one minute they're blowing stuff up...the next minute they crying about spear fishing for abaloni and starving sea otters

Yeah i love most of the programming on that channel but then when i watched whale wars i got a little disgruntled when the captain got "shot" by the japanese whalers.

Did they discover as to what happ. to the $30.000 from the hijacked ship?

There is a investigation going on and nobody is above suspicion!

Assuming it was mostly true, I learned some things. I would have thought that they would have mentioned that they got their ordes from the President. I honestly doubt it, but that is what the news folks reported after the incident.

The ROE for this incident was probably gone over with a fine tooth comb by all the legal beagles on the WH staff...you don't want THE "O" to look bad on the world stage. There were probably a number scenarios...but the eventual outcome was left to the "on scene commander"...I will add...that the DISCOVERY program was less informative than a lot of the press releases we had..even on this forum...which leads me to believe that the program was possibly EDITED for CONTENT
