Hypocracy of the Hollywood Elite - Stallone's CCW Application

Thought this was pretty funny. Sylvester Stallone is a fairly outspoken critic of private gun ownership, especially when interviewed overseas by foreign media, even though he had applied for and received a CCW permit in California. Do you realize how hard it is to get a permit like that in California? The average citizen has a snowball's chance in hell.

And let's not even mention the number of films he's made that involve firearms use, gratuitous violence, etc.

Yeah I thought that was hysterical. It's just becoming clear between stuff like this, and Lohan & Paris, that there is two distinct different rules of law. Those for the commoners, and those for the rich and powerful. It's quite a shame.

So he is just another Rosie...

Wants armed guards or guns for themselves but finds it totally stupid that a common person would want to protect themselves.

Why do we give these court jesters to the masses all this attention anyway? :D

I'm surprized he went as far as to say the second amendmaent needs to be stopped. Seems by admitting that the second amendment is the problem he's also admitting that he sees it as an individual right and that he has no problem stomping on them as long as he gets his special treatment.

And how is this new? It's been going on since forever.

Ol Sly was arrested when he tried to bring his steroids into Australia earlier this year. Seems like this would keep him from getting his permit.

Illegal drugs arent gonna get a celebrity in trouble. I doubt it will stop him from getting his permit.

Wouldn't that constitute purgery or something similer? I say send him to prison that will fix his permit.

Interesting reads Shannon, thxs........But it leaves me wondering, what would happen to one of us "common folk"?

You know...I would say that someone needs to send a copy of that to a Kalifornia Judge...so that they can take his carry license.

Since he doesn't agree with the second amendment, lets make sure he abides by his own beliefs.

what a twinkie!!!

I don't know if AU has a freedom of information act, but I'm willing to bet that if someone were to let the judge know that Stallone was carrying a concealed weapon, (they're banned in AU), he'd be willing to give up the documents in order to get one more nasty gun off the streets of America....

ergo, Stallone could be forced to eat his words and hire a body guard...since he doesn't believe in the 2nd amendment... or equal justice.

His application was made in 2004. His arrest was in 2007.

Surprisingly, when whoever did the redactions on the FOIA copy of his application, they redacted his statement of necessity for carrying a concealed weapon, but left the full serial numbers of all of his pistols visible. Anyone else find that strangely amusing?

Bah....who cares what that stupid washed-up actor thinks about anything,

obviously steroid abuse has fried his brain cells

hahahaha he looks like a flaming DUFUS!!!

I'd call him a homosexual, but its not an insult if its true!!!

Besides... it would be offensive to homosexuals to call Stallone one.

being from CA i can tell you that it is pretty much impossible...there are people that have been waiting 4 yrs just to see if they qualify for the psych evaluation

From what I am told by people I know who live in California, it depends on where you live. In some areas, it is pretty hard to get a permit and in other areas it is relatively easy.

I don't understand how a socialist state like California can just accept not treating all the people with equal disdain. :koolaid:

Because in the communist state, all people are equal.... some people are just more "equal" than others.
