Again I know this isn't the right area for some of these questions but how long is your certification class good for before you have to retake the class to retain your HCP? (that is what you call it there right?). Here in CO it's like ten years before you have to take another class. Whats the deal down there?

There is no cert. class. You go take the class (or in your case pay the 50 bucks and get your HCP). As long as you keep it up (good for 4 years, renewal by mail or at the DMV) you never have to attend another class. That might change don't know if someone is looking into it but right now you do not recertify.

Considering it's issued by the Dept. of Safety who also do the drivers licenses and you never have to "requalify" for your DL, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Re-qualification isn't in their mindset. :D

I left TN in 1990 and have been aching to come back home since... finally made it back last year.

You will like Clarksville. It is one of the most affordable areas of the country to live and, as home to the 101st, very military friendly. If you like military gear, ya gotta go check out the US Cavalry store. Austin Peay State University is a great asset as well.

Since you'll be so close to KY, you might want to take a look at their laws too. The TN HCP (and prob the CO one as well) are recognized there.
