I have been looking for a GI parts M1A for sometime now. Thought I would share what I came up with.

A couple of weeks ago I found a mint 1988 preban Springfield. I thought that I would share some before and "progress" pics.

August 1969 SAK Barrel

came with box, Springsfield 1st Gen Mount and a Simmons 44MaG 3x-10 scope

In the last two weeks I have added:

IOR 2.5-10x Scope (Thanks to gcrookston on TGO)

ARMS #22 Medimum Rings (Thanks to gcrookston on TGO)

ARMS #18 Mount

GI Painted stock (Selector area filled and painted)

Check rest with three different vecro heights.

I may add a Harris pod next .. not sure.

I had some stock/ammo issues on the first range trip... not worth reporting.

The second trip was a little better. It is now back in the Walnut stock and Federal Gold Medal Match 168 was the ammo.

now by preban does that mean full auto or does it mean high capacity mags? since you said '88 im guessing hc?

Preban = pre-1994.. it has a bayonet.
