Nikki Goeser asked me to pass this along to you all...

Tie-Dye Karaoke Tribute to Ben Goeser June 19th (tonight)!

Where?

The Wild Beaver Saloon

212 Commerce Street

Nashville, Tn 37201

Time?

7pm-3am

Join us June 19th at the Wild Beaver Saloon to pay tribute to our friend Ben Goeser, who was gunned down at Jonny's Sports Bar on April 2, 2009. The tribute will combine two of Ben's favorite things, Tye Dye Shirts and Karaoke!

Ben's wife Nikki Goeser will be attending.

The tribute will consist of fun, friends, drink specials, and an opportunity to show off your best tye dye shirt in honor of Ben.

Donations will be taken at the door as well as a silent auction for several groovy items with all proceeds going to the Benjamin F. Goeser Benefit Fund to help families who are victims of Gun Crimes. Please join us in raising money, having fun and remembering our friend Ben.

I have invited Nashville Police Chief Ronal Serpas to come to this event. I would really like to meet him. Hopefully he will come out for a little while to say hello.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that conversation. I do hope you're not holding your breath, though. He seems to be the type of guy who just "crop dusts" an issue with his opinion and then quickly flies off to something else.

Chief Serpas did not show up. I didn't really think he would. A police chief hanging out in a bar is not something you see everyday.....They should have thrown the benefit at the local Krispy Kreme. Joke! Just a joke! :D

Sorry we weren't able to make it last night. We had prior obligations that had been set for quite a while now. I hope you had a great turnout.
