Glock Finish?

So I've had about every gun that has tennifer/melonite and I have noticed a difference between the rest and Glock. The Glock has almost a plastic texture resilience to the slide that other tenniferd guns don't. My question is what gives it that Glock plasti-dip type feel. I really like it. I have a new Walther P99 that has Tennifer and it feels more like an XD, M&P, or the others with the same treatment. So other than PERFECTION!:D what makes the Glock different?

You best believe that PERFECTION was the reason! lol

Whatever it is, I'm glad Glock reduced the thickness of it recently. It was making the slide surface so slippery that I could not grip the serrations well. I still prefer the finish on the early Glocks. Less "pretty," but more functional for me.

Did I just use the word "pretty" in connection with Glocks!!!!

After the Tenifer finish it’s just dipped in road tar. From the tests I have seen apparently a lot of glocksters like to tie their Glocks to a rope and drag it behind their car. The road tar doesn’t show the road rash as bad.

However… the guys that keep their Glocks in a frozen bucket of water are complaining that big chunks of the road tar falls off.

It's too early to be drinking, man. :D
