I've decided on aker belt with insert. What are your thoughts on width. I know the 1 1/2 would be stronger and better but might be a little wide for some of my pants mainly shorts I wear jeans most of time in the winter. I'm afraid the extra width will make it stand out more or look more like a duty belt. The insert should help with any sag but don't know if holsters will move around more. Thanks any imput

I have 2 gun belts both are 1.5 wide. I've had no problems with mine but I do dress really casual. Either jeans or shorts for me. Have you decided whom your getting your belt from? If not I just recently had some time with 1 of the new Gun Belts that Leather Holsters for Springfield XD, Glock, 1911, M&P, Beretta, Ruger, Sig, Taurus, Kahr, is putting out. I will say they are some of the nicest belts I've come across. Plus Larry & his wife Isabel are great folks & you will have it in less than 3 days.

I have the 1.5 in from the Beltman. I think 1.5 in looks pretty standard. I would only wear 1.25 with a suit.

1.5 vote here as well. 1.25 seems to be too small, IMO.

1.5 works on all my dress pants.

I have a 1.5" for daily wear, but a 1.25" for dress stuff. I tried a belt that narrows from 1.5 to 1.25" but I don't wear a suit enough to cover the tapered part. I have two holsters, one for each belt, but same holster. Expensive at first, but it pays off in comfort and security--the 1.5" holster on the 1.25" belt was impossible to draw, it would rotate up or wouldn't stay in one position on my belt.

With me being a whopping 5'4 in dress shoes, the 1.5" belt in dress slacks just looked bad. It was almost a dead give-away, "Hey, heavy-duty belt and nice slacks . . . yeah, he's got a gun."

Thanks for all the imput I thought 1.5 was the way to go but started second guessing myself. I never wear dress pants if I had to I could go a different route. I think I'm going to give the aker b21 a try $40 I've wasted alot more $ on alot less if it doesn't work out. They seem to have a good reputation. Thanks again for advice

The Gun belt with the motorcycle theme or the basketweave looks interesting. I have a belt from the Beltman now; anyone know how they compare?

I don’t see any mention of a buckle; do they come with one?

Yes they come with what I think is called a roller buckle. As far as comparsions go they kinda remind me of a Rafter S belt but only better. They are not as stiff feeling as a Beltman. I really like this belt I got the solid black gunbelt but I got 1 just a smidge big. I'm trying to lose a couple lbs so it may be for sale soon but only to buy a smaller size. If you know anyone that would want a 44 belt nearly new at a huge discount lmk.

If the aker doesn't work out I might be interested. Might be a smidge big also 38 waist ordered 42 thats what measured from center hole to end of buckle.
