I would like to try out IPSC at ORSA this weekend. How early do I need to show up for registration, new shooter orientation, etc?

Thanks

Match starts at 10:00 am just like EYE-DEE-PEE-AYE. If you're there by 9:30 you should have plenty of time to get registered and orientated. Hope you enjoy your self. I am going to miss it this month to go shoot in N.C.

so how "good' do you need to be to join/start? is it newbie friendly?

I've been looking for a way to push myself to more than just shooting at the range.

It should be, I started IDPA in January and they were.

After shooting USPSA and IDPA I lost all interest in going to traditional range. You don't have to be good at all everyone was new at one time, just be safe and have fun!

Come join us, you will have a lot of fun, regardless of your skill level. We do welcome new shooters and please do not hesitate to ask questions. I concur with the previous comments, once you start IPSC or ISPA shooting, just shooting static paper will become boring.

I will be there as far as I know. I have shot IDPA for a few months and have heard about IPSC and want to try it.
