Geez man! Glad you are ok.

Thanks. I was working at the Golf Tournament at the time. The wife was home hiding in the closet with the dogs. Scared the bejesus out of us.

She said is was really noisy, like rolling thunder, then got really quiet and yellow outside so she headed for an interior closet. Then BOOM!

She was on the phone with me when it hit. She just kept saying OMG, OMG, OMG!!!

I didn't know what the hell was going on but it couldn't have been good...

Broke off about 20 feet up. Looked like it had been struck by lightning at some point.

Wow. pj...glad you and your wife are ok.

Punisher, you need to watch those tactitrees. And you FAIL at photography....:P

Nothing at my house, we didn't even lose power. The "hurricane Elvis" a few years back, we were out 15 days. My wife was 9 months preggo, baby born either the next day or the day after that. The tree guys have been in my N'hood for the last 3 weeks trimming trees around the power line easements, guess that helped us out.

Shady Grove at Mendenhall, stop light is still out, lines down on Shady Grove. Power still out in the area. Multiple poles down.

I was sitting at Shady Grove and White station, one of my kids with me in the Jeep, the other still inside. Rain was sideways, it would come from the north across to the south, then straight at me, then from the south to the north...all sideways. Could see the wind circling...crazy stuff. Rained so hard, the storm drain I was parked over couldn't keep up, I was sitting in about 3-5" of water (over the curb). Jeep was rocking back and forth.
