Took the HCP class from CIS...went to DOS and paid my hard earned $$$ for the privledge to manifest my 2A "right"...got finger printed today at lunch. NOW I wait.

Grats man! It took me 23 days from getting finger printed to receive my permit. Don't forget to call.

Definitely make the call.....the wife and I did ours on the same day......I called @ 28 days....got my HCP 7 days later......the wife didnt call until after i had recieved mine.....hers came 8 days after the call....it DOES make a difference....

22 days for me. I call after 14 days and they said it would be sent out within 7 days

Have 2 holsters right now...but i don't think either is all that good for carry...I'll have to do more research my carry gun is an FNH-P40

Who do you call to check on the status of your HCP? Its been about a month since i got finger printed and still nothing.

HCP # 615-251-8590.....Be NICE...tell them you would like to check on the status of your carry permit......and have your drivers license number handy.

yep calling netted me my HCP a few days ago. Took about 24 days total, not bad!

I know others on here have written it, but in about three-four weeks, give DOS a call to make sure they have all your "stuff". The lady I spoke with was very helpful and nice and both my wife and I had ours in about six weeks.

I called at two weeks on the dot and they said it was ready and I received it at three weeks on the dot. I don't think it can hurt to call, they'll just tell you to call back later. Of course, I'm not suggesting one pester them either.

I received my permit in the mail yesterday! Exactly 14 days after I called. Thanks to everyone for the good advice!!!

I called after a week and they told me 7-14 days. And that was only 2 days ago.
