Quality defensive summer course?

I can shoot a little bit, but I thought it would be fun, informative, useful, and interesting to take a defensive pistol class this summer. Who's the next best thing to Clint Smith in the Tennessee/Southeast area?

I see the high compliments for CIS; however, I'm looking for something in June or July.

Any recommendations? Is Ray Chapman still doing this stuff?

Also, What would be the best route to getting NRA Handgun Instructor certified in this area (Middle Tennessee)?
