Shipping Mosquito magazines

Ok i have a "new to shipping gun equip" question. I just recently purchased a sig mosquito. It's very hard to find magazines for it locally, but i have found a few online. The sellers require the magazine be shipped to FFL, which from checking around is a very strange procedure but sometimes happens. One local store said that they could do the magazine with FFL but they charge a $40 FFL fee on top of the cost of the mags and shipping.

A friend at work stated that you can have mags with less than 10 rounds shipped to your home through the post office as long as it is declared as a gun magazine. The mosquito mags are 10 round, so im just wondering.

Thanks in advance!

That is odd I have had mags for my P22 shipped to my office 10 rnd as well, and as a matter of fact 15 rounders for my P95 that is odd. My advice just order it from Midway in stock ready to ship you will have in like 2-3 days, no hastle that link will take you straight to the page for the insect mags.

There is no law whatsoever in TN that requires any of that nonsense. The only thing that has to be shipped to a FFL is a firearm, everything else can be shipped directly to you, no matter how many rounds it holds. And you don't have to "declare" anything when it's being shipped.

Did they specifically tell you they will only ship to an FFL on these magazines or are you reading it in the description of an auction? Alot of auctions on gunbroker have that verbaige in them on all their auctions because it's easier than trying to only put it on firearm auctions.

no it was a gunshop located in i think arkansas... they had the 3 pack sig factory mags for $90 in stock (or so the page said) but when ordering it said i had to fax paperwork. I called their number and the guy didnt know what i was talking about, so i read it to him and he said "oh well if the page says so then i guess it is"

when i went to mahoneys to buy my skeeter i asked them, but they were saying that any FFL would charge $30 or $40 and that just seemed silly
