These kind of open 2a attacks from treaties etc are not the real threat. Those are the ones people see coming. Kinda like a jab that sets up the hook. The real threat is socialized medicine. Once that is in place everything will be health concerns and trying to limit what we do due to supposed "safety" risk. Driving too many miles becomes a health concern, traveling - health concern, where you live - health concern, etc. Guns will be argued health concerns and so circumvent 2a. We can see a little of this in the recent restaurant bill. How many times did we hear public safety and health concern?

Thank you poak. Posers is right. If you are ashamed of your guns then do sell them at a gun show or lose them in a lake, or sell the to JHatmaker (at least that excuse is original).

I have said time and again, so you tell the gov't you "lost" your guns. What are you going to do with them then? You going to go to the range? NO. You going to shoot zombies? Doubtful. Will you keep them hidden away for whatever reason? Actually my guess is you will hand them over.

Why does'nt the govt focus on the criminals? The only thing gun laws/bans ect regulate are those of us that follow the law. Sorry to thread drift, but if they are so worried about a semi auto rifle, I think the politicians that "serve the people" should rethink their battle position and focus on something that really does impact the American people, immigration for example. Pro gun/anti gun whatever...their are bigger fish to fry and again..if a law or ban is passed, the only ones it will effect are those of us that are honest.

Because we are the bigger problem. For them. We, the conservative, Constitution following gun owners are the only thing stopping, err delaying their goals to turn the US into just another Socialist paradise where nobody thinks for themselves and needs to suck at the teat of the government.

They'll keep pushing, and I hope the day comes when we rack the slide and say "let's rock".

The reason is that this would require politicians to think logically and use their brains... Career politicians will do anything they can to get re-elected. You really have to stop making so much sense. Democrats have to keep the smoke and mirrors tricks going in order to get their agendas passed.

This country is heading for another economic meltdown. China owns us and we are heading towards bankruptcy... the American way. Look at how we just pissed away $50+ billion by giving money to GM and Chrysler. The government has not business bailing out private business. Look at what has happened... the same thing that should have happened before we passed out $50 billion like candy. But I digress...

Our forefathers designed this country because they knew what a powerful goverment can do to the people. They were way smarter than most give them credit for... It amazes me how the constitution is still relavent 200 years later. Look at the 2004 election... yours truly Hillary Clinton can be quoted as saying "It is time to abolish the electorial college..." I am glad she doesn't get her way. Look at California with all those gay, tree hugging, liberals... That one state could control every election with their popular vote... The idea of weighting the states based on population is a system that is important do this day... very ingenius.

If he government thinks they are going to come knock on my door and ask for my guns... they better bring bigger guns. The will have to carry my corpse out with my guns. I will not go down without a fight...

My advice to you is to buy as much ammo as possible in multiple calibers... Each time you can afford to...

Supreme Court ruled, I believe, in 1972 that any laws against the Constitution were null and void.

Folks,we need to remember this and remind everyone especially the polititians.
