I read about this some time ago and wrote a few e-mails. Sen Corker actually e-mailed me back and reiterated his opposition to this treaty in particular and to anti 2nd Amendment bills in general.

Yeah, I have heard about this not long ago actually...the communist news network among others have said absolutely nothing about this treaty.

It will strip the US of our sovereignty, but who cares about that anymore--they are too busy selling us out to Mexico, and the useless nations....

you would think that just once the government would have the backbone to come out and state their actual agenda and say "we're gonna take your rights away whether you like it or not"....

Obama has done exactly that. He has stated openly that he wants to ban semi-automatic weapons.

I do not like Obama, and I think he will go down as the worst President in history. But I can’t say that he is not honest and open with what he wants to do. He is a socialist and a racist.

Fortunately for us Obama is not “the governmentâ€. “The Government†is the only thing that can stop this….. we will see what they do.

and the push to do that is coming..Diane Feinstein already said they will pick the time and the place to file new legislation--I would not be surprised if it is already written, waiting for some national tragedy to come along...Senator Feinstein told 60 minutes that "she (I) would pick the time and place for the new legislation...no doubt about that"

so the push at taking the guns is coming...all they need is a tragedy or two to make it a reality...

Why does'nt the govt focus on the criminals? The only thing gun laws/bans ect regulate are those of us that follow the law. Sorry to thread drift, but if they are so worried about a semi auto rifle, I think the politicians that "serve the people" should rethink their battle position and focus on something that really does impact the American people, immigration for example. Pro gun/anti gun whatever...their are bigger fish to fry and again..if a law or ban is passed, the only ones it will effect are those of us that are honest.

That requires just too much common sense...we can't have a focus on getting criminals off of the streets--they are too busy trying to set them free in order to save money on budgets...it's easier to go after the law abiding people who mind their own business than it is to focus on the criminals....at least according to the Brady bunch it is anyway...because if you believe Brady--it is us nasty, law abiding people who go out and buy a semi-auto rifle who are fueling the drug wars in Mexico and proliferating violence everywhere...the criminals on the other hand are never at fault...
