New National Poll to Vote in

Please go to www.parade.com and vote in their poll, on softing gun restrictions. I just voted and right now it's 93% for easing gun restrictions and 7% not for easing gun restrictions. The poll is located about half way down on the left side.

Voted. I don't think these polls ever provide the desired results. I guess that's why we never hear about them once they're removed from the media's web site. If it went the other way, I suppose it would be front page news.

What does that mean, gun restrictions for criminals or for law abiding citizens. I think the existing gun laws for criminals should be more strict, followed more closely and carried out. Gun laws for law abiding citizens should be eased up.

I hate polls like that, I hate how the media always "set them up" to show or to steer the responses.

That poll, for the average person that is not a knowledgeable gun person, will vote "No", because they don't know any better. I mean, why would you ease up gun laws when violence is up...

If they asked the question like "Should states loosen gun laws that restrict law abiding citizens....or Should states loosen gun laws on criminals..." I mean come on, ask the real F'n questions. Stop asking all this bull**** and then burying the results when you don't like the answer.

Don't let these things fool you. Polls ran by specific groups or the media are designed with and end result in mind an to elicit a specific result. The Media and special interest groups are absolutely NOT interested in truly getting a feel for what the average person thinks. Sometimes, the backfire and get the exact opposite result they were looking for - so those slide under the rug very quickly.

I have a degree in Journalism/Public Relations and because of my PR degree is based off the Journalism part, I had a lot of classes that were pure journalism classes. It was unbiased this, take your bias out of your writing, I took off points because this is not a bias response. It really pisses me off. I want to go back to school so that I can say my degree is in something else, and I have thought about doing that, getting a MBA. I get letters and calls ever so often about giving money to the school and to the journalism department...I kinda wish they would give me a call...I have a few things on my mind to say on why I am not giving them anything.

You could comment to your school all you want to no avail. They got your money, they realize you'll give them no more money, and they'll claim that they taught correctly, and it's just the world getting to others. You might as well fuss at a concrete wall.
