Smith & Wesson 36-1

Picked this up today. Nice revolver, excellent condition.

If someone has access to serial number/year produced info, I'd like to find out when it was made.

Absolutely beautiful gun! That one has incredible bluing! There really is nothing like shooting an excellent .38 revolver, and that one looks amazing.

Here is a quick and dirty resource I reference when looking at S&W revos. I'm sure TDR and Peanut have much more detailed info for you. Smith & Wesson model changes

The bluing is perfect with only minor wear on the muzzle and one minor ding on the right side next to the rear sight.

Any help on the yearade would be greatly appreciated. It looks like they started making them in 1967 but didn't stop until the late 80's.

She is a beauty, I'll be looking to come across one of those again when some more "play money" comes around. Nothing like a clean, full sized .38.
