That is a Dirty Harry collection. I know he carried .44s but thats what I thought when I saw them.

I have a couple of those also.

Here is one of them.

While I enjoy shooting my Model 29s, I find its heavy barrel to be less "attractive" than the standard profile barrel of the Model 27s. Not to mention the beautiful checkering found on the top strap and rib of the .357s.

Your "Old school Blue Steel and Wood" photograph is one of the most beautiful firearm displays most any of us could ever assemble. I don't think there is anything, absolutely nothing, that is prettier than the deep blued steel of a vintage Smith & Wesson firearm! Their current guns do not have anything like the fit and finish of those in your photograph.

Honestly I did not, I bought my Dad a model 27 years ago and when he passed I had to give it up trying to be fair with my siblings on Dad's guns. The one on the bottom right is identical to the one I bought Dad... Ironicaly, my sibling who wanted a gun of Dad's so badly no longer has it and can't even tell me where it went so that I could at least try and get it back

The 8 3/8 & 6 inch barrel guns are both 5-screw Pre 27s.
