I would ask that we all please take a moment tomorrow, Saturday June 6, 2009, to remember the brave souls who participated in the historic events of of the original D Day.

God grant a peaceful rest to those who are gone and protect and keep those still with us.

Will be thinking about the young men who stormed the beach today so I could be free. Some made it home and some made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, but EVERY one of them was a hero. Please thank a Vet. for their service today and everyday. :dirty:

Same deal w/ my Grandfather. Not sure exactly what wave he was in or any of that, but I've been meaning to see if I can track down some of his military records. He is now deceased, and he only talked about D-Day in depth to me once.

We marched thru hells gates not to seek gains of monies, properties, or to acquire power over other men. We sacrificed ourselves in order to protect the weak so that they may also enjoy the life we have. All we asked in return was a place to bury our dead.

Google did a tribute to Tetris today. :bowrofl:
