Hey all, been a member here for a while but haven't posted much. I'm heading down to Chattanooga this weekend for a conference and wanted to know if the Aquarium there is posted or otherwise off limits for carry. Rob

Riverbend entrances are rumored to be posted with *legal* no guns allowed signs. I haven't confirmed this with my own two eyes, but I have a fairly reliable source.

i went to riverbend last year. i saw no signs at all, but seeing how alcohol is served there for on site consumtion, i would imagine carry would not be legal. the Aquarium however, carry away. i do. no signs,

Riverbend will not make a very enjoyable trip to the Aquarium...there will be a bazillion people there unless you get there when they open.

That being said....it is a VERY nice aquarium and well worth the time and money.

FYI...

As I was leaving the other day, I noticed that the entrance to the River Journey building was posted with a notice to the effect that certain items were prohibited, including weapons. I did not notice if any such thing was posted on the Ocean building or not.

The postings did not meet the legal requirement.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, however, I am planning to take the family to Chattanooga in a couple of weeks and am wondering if the aquarium is now properly posted with either the proper language or gun busters sign?

Not trying to hijack your thread but since we're on the topic of aquariums I wanted to ask about Ripley's. I was just there on Sunday and prior to visiting I read on a separate thread that it WAS posted. On Sunday I didn't see a single sign of any kind.
