I was already not in a charitable mood today anyways. I had reps from the Tennessean newspaper come by and want me to advertise in the paper.

Hmmm let me think. Give money to a company that is completely against the second amendment, but hides behind the first...... what should I do....:ugh:

So I got this email today from someone at Nissan. I will leave his name out and his info, but it really hacks me off. Here it is

"Good afternoon!

I’m working with several colleagues to plan a social event for a group of computer professionals at Nissan. This is a casual afternoon event, and because of the difficult economic times for Nissan, it has almost no budget. I did, many months ago, meet an entrepreneur starting a gourmet cupcake business, who, for certain events, provided complimentary cupcakes (along with a stack of business cards) for the publicity which those cakes would provide. Unfortunately, I don’t have her card now.

I’m wondering whether you would be interested in such an arrangement, and I’m shamelessly asking. We are expecting a maximum of 60 IT professionals working at Nissan in Cool Springs. The event will take place on 6/18.

Thank you for your consideration."

What do you all think I should respond to him with?

I bet my life they sent it to you and a bunch of other people. Mark as SPAM...

So, maybe Nissan will give me a free car that I can drive around... I mean, it's got their company name written on it, so I'm doing them a favor by driving it around for others to see :ugh:

Now, where's my GTR?

You know, I used to invite folks like that to go jump in the creek, but I had to give it up. If half the folks I told that to actually went and did it, I'd run out of creek in a hurry.

I can't believe that someone (hell 60 someones) making that kind of money have the audacity to ask for free food from a small business like that. They could have at least offered up some computer help or a website or something in trade.

I can't even tell you the response I'd give.
