Just on the gun issue, he is against us. I don't know where he stands otherwise.

I don't CARE where he stands otherwise.

Personally, I feel Knoxville politics are more twisted than all three Godfather movies and a little bit of The Departed combined.

Yep, and I've pretty much had it with all the Haslam dynasty.

However, Tim Burchett is running for Mayor. Maybe after a term, he might be electable as Governor. There is no more 2A friendly pol in TN than Tim. (he has carry permit also).

I don't think we can really trust any of them. Especially the ones from areas with large numbers of Obama supporters.

Amen brother!! The closer you get to the "citidels of idiocy" ( read that: colleges and universities) and the more ghetto rats on the dole (all colors!! -- no discrimination here!!); the greater the demigogery by the political class. Knoxville and Nashville are great examples. Memphis seems to be a whole other world; much more like Chicago than Tennessee. It is sad, indeed. That's why we need to hold our local officials accountable. All politics starts at the local level -- that's why i'm so proud of many of the current Republican (and some Democrat) state polititians because of their actions on the RESTORATION of gun rights to law abiding Tennesseeans.

PS -- RONALD REAGAN SAID TO THE RUSSIANS: "TRUST BUT VERIFY" -- a very wise course of action with any polititian.

Seems like Ms. MacMillian put a whole bunch of her eggs in one basket; not a real smart political move at this point in the "race". But she let people know which side of the line in the sand she stands. Bet that statement will come home to bite her.

We don't need another Bredesen... especially one wearing a skirt... did you ever see Bredesen in a skirt.
