Well summer is upon us again. I know alot of you ladies where busy last summer. Last year if some remembers my son & husband went out to Seattle. In July we all are driving to New Jersey. I can't wait, To be away from the work schedule and the house we bought, remodeling.:poop:

Our nephews tend to come over all summer long ( 15 & 10) they eat so much!!!! I already have a 12 year old to feed. He is now 5'6" 135 lbs and in a size 10 1/2 mens shoe.

If any of you have ideas of where to stop and check out on the way let me know. I know we are going to Philadelphia, NYC, Atlantic City.

Are any of you girls going to the Middle tenn meet in June?

Summer is always really busy for me! Lots of stuff to do around the place.

Angel, I hope you have a great vacation! That's one direction I've never traveled so I have no cool places to tell you to check out. I did drive to Seattle about 10 years ago via the northern route (IL, WI, MN, SD, MT, WY, UT, ID, WA).....that was VERY cool! We had a whole month, so we took our time along the way. We visited the town of Roslyn, WA which is where they filmed "Northern Exposure"....my all time favorite series....that was awesome!!! I sat at "The Brick" and drank a beer!

Did you guys drive when you went to Seattle?

Na we took a big blue bird.

There in 4hrs!!!! Just in time for the 4th of July fireworks show in the neighborhood my sis lived in.

I have to say it was one of the best I've seen.

Was that the fireworks show that they put off on the barge out in the water (Puget Sound I think?) If so, I've seen that on tv.....but would love to see it in person!

Where you headed in Jersey, we're going up there this weekend, I'll ask the inlaws.

I think it is called Howell.

The fireworks show was one the neghborhood put on, mostly her next door neighbor. He said he spent $1000 to $1500 himself, not counting the numerous donations he had. Plus he had all the beer we could drink:D:shrug:

I had to smile when I read about the size of your son. Mine is now 26 and has given me 3 beautiful grandchildren. He was always taller than the other kids growing up. Today he stands 6'3", a rock solid 190 lbs, and wears a size 16 shoe. I like to tease him, saying it would take a mighty strong wind to blow him over! Have a nice time on your vacation, and be safe!
