This guy had to be drunk, drugged or mentally whacked!

Since he looked like he was methodically trying to cover it up, I don't think it's mental.

Looks like he intentionally tried to get hit by a citizen to cover up the wrecked area of his cruiser. He is a menace to society and needs to be fired! 80 hours?? He's lucky he's not going to jail. I saw reckless endangerment over and over again! He must have one heck of a union there to save his arse on this one.

Tragedy? Let it go? Are you posting about the cop that ran the red light, ran over a street sign and then tried to get a citizen to hit that side of his cruiser by pulling into the oncoming traffic lane? You in the right thread Paul?

I don't get it?

It was a smartass post where I was referring to post made in a different thread. Yes, it was on purpose.

I quickly searched for the actual article to go along with the video, but didn't find it.

Without question, this LEO should be fired.

Sorry to get off topic for a moment, but wow, get over it man.

Police officer appeals suspension after crash | floridatoday.com | FLORIDA TODAY

A Melbourne police officer is appealing a decision to suspend him for 80 hours without pay for an incident in November, in which he crashed his patrol car into a stop sign and did not report it to his superiors, officials said.

Melbourne's city manager will examine the appeal.

The officer, John Pasko, remains on duty until a decision is reached.

Documents show that Pasko crashed his patrol car into a stop sign on Riverview Drive in Palm Bay on Nov. 14 and did not report the accident. The car sustained dents and damage on the driver's side.

Video from the dash-camera shows Pasko examining the damage to the car after he hit the stop sign.

But he later told a nurse that he had no recollection of the incident, records show.

The officer was not wearing his duty belt or carrying his department-issued firearm at the time of the incident.

The video also shows Pasko going through a red light and driving his car on the sidewalk.

Other drivers also called police to say that they had seen a Melbourne patrol car driving erratically.

The investigation also quoted other police officers, who said that Pasko appeared dazed and impaired.

"Those issues -- they have been cleared by our medical doctor," Melbourne Police Cmdr. Ron Bell said Wednesday.

There is no other explanation for the erratic driving in the investigation documents.

Pasko, who is 45, has been reprimanded at least three times in the past.

His violations have resulted in the police department asking him to operate official vehicles carefully and obey orders.

An incident in January 2008 resulted in Pasko being issued a reprimand for "intoxicants and substances that impair ability."

Pasko was disciplined and received counseling in 2004 and 2005, once for off-street parking and once for failing to use personal responsibility for department property.

Pasko has been with Melbourne Police Department since 1992, according to Bell.

In 1995, Pasko was accused by a Brevard County judge of giving contradictory and inconsistent trial testimony. But Pasko was cleared on any wrongdoing in an investigation by Melbourne police.

27 strikes...You're Out!.................Wait....we'll give you another chance.

Not sure why this was aimed at LEO's in particular but frankly the cop-bashing that has become so popular on TGO lately needs to stop. I can think of scum in every profession. My wife's ex husband is a complete piece of **** and just happens to be a volunteer fireman.

Does that mean all firemen are douchebag losers?

Let's stop painting professions with such broad strokes.
