type of handgun

Hello,

I wanted to see if anyone knew if we have any restrictions on the type of handgun we can legally carry. I am putting my carry gun in the shop for ceramic coating and since I only own one carry gun this will leave me unarmed for a couple weeks. I own a AB-10 which the ATFE classifies as a handgun, and while I would not carry it on my person, I was wondering if it would be legal to carry it in my vehicle. I appreciate any info anyone can give.

If it is a hand gun and has a barrel length of less than 12 inches you are good to go.

I don’t carry it, but my PLR-16 qualifies.

Of course you always run the risk of getting stopped by someone that doesn’t know it qualifies.

thanks, wow my AB-10 is not even in same ball park with that. mine looks like a caulking gun.
