really, that sucks. i havent actually tried it yet but i know walmart.com sells them and i didnt think they had control software.

kinda a noob to this stuff but once i download i have it on my hard drive to make as many hard copies of it as i want, right?

Rhapsody does have a java based client that doesn't require you to download anything.

Actually, it depends on the license, but most licenses allow you to make one (1) copy of the file or media as a backup.

I buy from Walmart. You can do whatever you want with the song, as long as it is just for your personal use. They did have a download utility that you install on your computer, but it does not have anything to do with the licensing or playing of the file after you get it. I think they have an alternate download method that does not require the utility.
