Hey guys, have any of you heard of this company before? They make both a 1911 and AR kit. The 1911 kit comes with a slide, hammer, disconnect and trigger assembly; they'll all coated w/ their "EXO technology" that provides permanent lubricity to all the components.

All you do to clean it is wipe them off. Just not sure of their reputation, quality? In essense you're replacing the frame and slide, but still keep the barrel. It runs $660 for the 1911 kit. Would that even be worth it for a high end (or any brand) 1911? I guess if you really hate to clean them it would be.

Haven't even put it in the safe yet, I just caress it all day. Fell asleep last night reading Guns and Ammo to her.... :D

I remember reading about their AR kit whenit first came out. It got lots of positive reviews, but in the end, you'll just have to ask yourself if you really NEED what they're offering. :D

Personally, I'd rather spend that cash on ammo and training...

I heard reviews from a few people who have got this on their AR's. The customer service is top notch, and the product works great. However, the quality control of the bolts they sell isn't the best. I've heard of two people getting a banged up bolt that wouldn't work from the company. Failzero is quick to make it right, but I think that's something that needs to be at least looked at in house before having the customer check and see if the bolt is made properly.

Yeah, I know, I was just looking to see if anyone on the board was using this product so I could see what they thought of it compared to what I've read/heard elsewhere.

I have had the AR15 bcg book marked for a while, but I have yet to seriously look into it. It may be something that I want for my M&P15T.

I don't think it's right to not have to clean your gun yourself, but that's just me. I'm willing to admit I might think differently if I owned a larger multitude of firearms.

Not sure how different it is than any other finish using molybdenum type finishes or Teflon finishes. Although, I wouldn't say they don't need ANY lube but a lot less and a lot less often.
