What do you mean? Are you referring to the bill that legalizes murder in places that serve alcohol between the hours of 9am and 11pm?

Only if you have a 007HCP, It cost a little more. But I have one.:shhh:

I was talking about the comments section and how many people think this bill would let permit holders consume alcohol while carrying.

I received this from Rep. Johnson,

Thank you for your e-mail urging support for an override of the

Governor's veto of House Bill 962. It is my understanding that

Representative Todd will seek to override the veto next week. I intend

to support his efforts and vote to override the veto.

I appreciate you taking the time to let me know your opinion on this

very important issue. If I can ever be of assistance, please feel free

to contact me.

Sincerely,

Curtis Johnson, District 68

State Representative

Sorry...I was being sarcastic.

I agree with you. EVERY interview I have seen on this subject the news people themselves get half the facts wrong. The questions they ask are absurd let alone what is going on in the heads of your average joe watching channel 5 or reading the Nashville Scene...my sarcastic retort to your post is probably not all the far off from what some people actually think....

I got this from Rep. Floyd...

Dear Mr. BrandonTN,

Please know I appreciate your taking time to contact me .Thank you for your support !!!

With Respect

Rep. Richard Floyd

Kind of a vague response, but I have read in countless news articles here in town that he will be voting for the override. I still haven't heard anything back from Sen. Berke (no surprise there as he is an anti-2A ).

Brandon,

In my e-mail with Floyd he flat out stated he will vote for the over-ride.

Punisher, not to flame you or anything, but anyone can make a typo. The reply was from Rep. Faulkner and it was made to me at 11:12 pm. That tells me that rep. Faulkner was working well past normal hours.

That sounds like a vote against the bill since he didn't say one way or the other. I see that others have said he told them he would vote for the override. I sure hope he hasn't changed his mind. Maybe we all need to flood him with emails again.

Looking at all the responses you guys have been posting from your Reps. etc, I couldn't help but wonder how they are responding to the mail they are getting from people that support the veto?

I wonder if they have two responses they send out, and hope nobody looks to see how they voted? LOLOLOLOL

That would be an interesting exercise. Send in an email to them wanting them to change their position on it... and not over ride the veto. But have numerous spelling and grammar errors. Stating ridiculous claims that the streets will run red with blood, etc. :chill:

I e-mailed Rep. Ron Lollar and Sen. Mark Norris on Friday and haven't received a response. I think they were both co-sponsors of the bill.

Ron Lollar replied to me and he is supporting the override. I have not received any response from Paul Stanley.

I just had a call from Rep. Todds office to thank me for contacting him. Obviously he is going to vote for it! I asked her if he is confident that he has the votes to override the veto in the house and she told me that he had been working VERY hard to get those votes and that he believes that he does. It will be voted on Wednesday in the House but she's not sure that the Senate will have time to get it done this week and it may be Monday for them.

Thanks Rep. Todd! that's how to treat the citizens of TN. I still have not heard from either of my two legislators so I guess I send them another email.
