depends on what you're looking for.

I've got one and its done what I needed wheb I installed new sights on two handguns, and the carry handle on my ar. :)

now if you're looking to shoot hairs of a flies hoo-ha at 100 meters then you'd probably be best using a higher end unit

I have the Cabela's knock off version or something similar and yes, they are worth it. You didn't post a link to it but mine has an attachment to go over the laser head and it spreads the dot to a line and it has a level on it so you can level out your scope cross hairs and THAT is worth it right there! Trying to get your cross hairs straight up and down by looking down it is tough!

Boresighting and seeing the dot down range is a great way as stated to get on paper and saves on getting a good zero!
