I unexpectedly lost my job this week. I have been in sales for the last 5 years. Really not looking to stay in sales but right now I will take anything.

Does anyone know of companies in the M'Boro area hiring right now? I'll be hitting the streets hard this week. I'm afraid I'll be getting alot of doors slammed in my face.

Don't know if they are hiring, but you might want to check out the Nissan Plant in Smyrna. I have an uncle that has worked there for many years and he says its a great place to work. Just a thought.

Heard an ad the other day during The Dave Ramsey Show that UPS was hiring all shifts. There's a hub in the Whites Creek / Madison area. Don't know about the MBoro area. Good luck!

If you're just looking for anything right now, I believe Sam's off Old Fort is hiring. WallyWorld on the other side of 24 WAS hiring a couple months ago, but I don't know if they are still filling positions now.

Best of luck to you, man.

Thanks for the advise guys. I've got resumes ready to hand out. It sucks losing my job but I think it's for the better. I've been trying to leave for a while, I guess I just needed a little push.

I feel your pain. I lost my sales job two weeks ago after 10 years with the company. Called in after lunch on Friday and gone. One bad quarter in 10 years and you get sh*t canned. So much for loyalty. Send resume's to everybody you know and then to those you don't know. Call all your friends, family, and business associates and let them know. In this day and age, you have to make it happen. I'm with you, keep the faith.....

I know the feeling. Was out of it for 7 months last year, and got a job through a recruiter that started in Jan. Best of luck to ya!

You can always put in at a temp. agency until you have another job. I decided to go ahead and work in a warehouse (Federal Mogul, Smyrna) for the rest of the summer until schools starts back. If you have problems finding work somewhere else it's always an alternative.
