I'm not an expert on Ruger revolvers, so I may not be looking at the same exact model you're looking for. However, I broke out the Blue Book and found the following.

The BlackHawk Convertible is the same as the Blackhawk, with an extra cylinder to change or convert calibers. The .357/ 9mm list at roughly 550 for NIB, 450 for Excellent condition, 400 for Very Good, 300 for Good, 200 for Fair, and it doesn not list a price for Poor condition.

*Edit* Those prices are listed for the old model. The new model lists a little differently. It's 450 for NIB, 350 for Excellent, 250 for Very Good, 175 for Good, 150 for Fair, and 125 for Poor. The Stainless .357/ 9mm is significantly more, as the book says only 300 were built.

Terry, 56FG is right on the money! I sold that exact gun to a fellow member here about a year ago, and for the price listed here for the shape mine was in...56FG's price list is deadly accurate. I would think you could track one down in the $300 to $400 range relatively easily. FWIW.

I saw one at the Knoxville gun show with the 5 1/2" barrel for $450 used.

Besides that one, there was another, for $500, guy was willing to dicker. It had even longer barrel, which they don't make anymore.

I really want the 4 5/8 one, for some reason.

I am...they have been fetching average $300 in 80% shape to $400 in good shape on my site. They really haven't jumped that much since the gun hoarding started a while back either. For some reason they fetch $25-50 more here in our pocket of SE TN despite national prices.

Every now and then you run across a "dog" for $250 or so, but those days are almost over.

Unless it was NIB I would not personally pay more than $350...$375 if I really wanted it. Since it is a new model you can get a pretty good idea how much it has been shot by the ring around the cylinder...the NM guns have a dragging latch by design. Most 9mm cylinders will have little to no drag.

Just as an FYI CDNNinvestments is running a 1 week special on their anniversary models...the .38/357 flat top is one of them for $375 brand new. Does not have the convertible cylinder, but is a flattop with micrometer sights. That being said...do NOT spend over $375 for it
