What are the rules on carry there? The website says firearms not permitted, but it's not a legal posting. I can't remember if they sell alcohol there or not.

It's private property. You just said you read where the proprietor says firearms are not permitted. You have your answer. Don't carry.

Fair enough. Does this mean not in my car? Or just leave it in the car?

If I were carrying on a permit, I would leave it secured in a lockbox or cable in my car.

I do believe they also sell beer there, to answer part of your question.

Lots of beer there, so no carry...

Girls with wings, too. Be careful, they'll steal your heart!

Carry your sword!

I bought my first sword at a Renaissance festival. So yes, carry your sword! (not the one you always have with you, either)

Likewise. A beautiful re-creation of Narsil from LOTR.

Last time I went it was a DUDE wearing wings and running around sprinkling pixie dust [glitter] on people. I let him know in no uncertain terms If he got that  on me he'd be flying with his head pointing down after I shove his wings up his a~~. Annoying little sissy.

I wouldn't feel too uncomfortable not carrying at a Renn. Festival. If the SHTF you'd have plenty of battle axes, maces, flaming arrows and other deadly primitive weapons at your disposal. (Well, I don't know about the flaming arrows but it'd be pretty cool.) Wouldn't be a bad place at all to fend off zombies.

While it's not a legal posting per 39-17-1359, there isn't a doubt what their wishes are. So no doubt you would be told to leave if you were made. Also possibly banned from future events as well.

As far as the selling and consuming of alcohol goes, it's irrelevant since it is not within the confines of a building.

Not properly posted BUT IF I was to want to carry there I would wear a Kramer style undershirt and DEEP conceal.
