This being out of work isn't so bad

Laid off April 3... They picked up my company car the following Monday. While I toss out resumes and go to the occasional job interview I'm needing a car.

Sell a few guns... find a nice one owner, garage kept, always serviced by the dealer at the appointed times with all the nit-picky things fixed (there were not that many), and every receipt for work done for less than 1/10 of the origianal selling price from a wife's doctor...

Not anywhere near perfect, but good enough to drive me to the poor house in some style...

Lexus sc 400. This was one of my dream cars 15 years ago. Funny how things come together...

All in all, a nice ride. Cars in that shape can be hard to find. It would be really nice if you could have found this ride, though.

I'm going to sell me a few more guns and get me some 28" rims and a jackup job... metalica tangerine paint.

But seriously, one of these beat me in a 50 mile race across a very flat road comig south out of Amarillo Texas in 1996 while I was behind the wheel of a 1995 Mustang Cobra with a 6# Paxton an H pipes with my best speed never above 140.... (and it beat me by at least 3 miles and must have been doing at least 160-170 when it passed me).

Just do what a guy in my neighborhood did with his accord.

Get ONE spinner at a time and have it installed. In no time you'll have a matching set.

Yes over the course of 2 months this guy added one spinner to his car every couple of weeks.

BTW, Good luck with your job hunt!

Um... isn't that an SC, not an LS?

Sorry.... I'm a stickler about car stuff... and a nutjob, to boot!

But nice car!! I've always really liked those, too. I've a real hankering for a clean BMW 850csi as of late. Man those were freakin' cool!

Yeap, you can find an 850Si for $25k or less, but CSi's are hard to find, and expensive...

Your post is now the proud owner of a mouthful of Pepsi throwback, as I spit it all over the monitor from laughter. Grats.

Yeah! I love those. I've always thought they had a slightly "Bat Mobile-ish" quality to them

A buddy of mines dad and a great friend of mine had one. Fun to drive was an under statement. I remembering leaving the Boro' with him one day and getting on 840. As were merge on a C4 Vette flys past us around 100. Jimmy just punches it the SC400. A few miles later we pull up next the the Vette still doing 105 and Jimmy looks over and waves and off we go. He lets the Vette catch up and does it a couple more times til he tires of and and holds it to the floor. I looked over and saw the speedo somewhere over 160 and realized not only was this man a great friend but I truely trusted him with my life cause it didn't phase me a bit for him to do. Damn do I miss him.

Nice car, Glen. Glad to hear things are working out for you. You are a straight shooter so everything will go your way.
