Near Portland, Gallatin, and White House...

I have a Glock 9mm full size, FNP .40 (best shooting 40 I've ever shot), Kahr CW45, Smith and Wesson M&P15 (AR15), Mossberg 590a1 pump shotgun, and a Remington 1100 Tactical, which I may sell soon.

Decided it was time to get a carry permit, so I took the class at Guns and Leather. That turned out to be a good experience--Mark there was very entertaining.

They warned me today when I applied for the carry permit that there's been a rush on gun permits and the the state is seriously behind. Not sure if that's true, but thats what they said and to expect delays. I guess everyone is figuring out that you may not always be able to rely on the government to protect you and your family...

Welcome. It seems lately that as long as you call after a couple of weeks, permits are being issued rather quickly. Check the forums. Many here can relate their experience to you or send you to the thread they started. Make sure you call!
