right now watch is used as jewelry for a man.

I can't believe I missed this thread. I love nice watches. My preference is towards Omega. I feel that they offer models that provide a nice balance between a dress and sport watch.

I usually alternate between my Seamaster and X-33 as my everyday watch.

A lot of people did not like the X-33 when Omega first put it out due to the price and the watch is digital. It is one of my favorite watches.

I am also a James Bond fan, so when Omega released the first limited edition 40th anniversay James Bond watch I had to have one. It is a beautiful watch, but I don't ever wear it.

Doxa 5000t COSC Certified

The Tax man has been good to me this year and there is one hell of a deal on a watch that I have wanted for a long time from the factory so I ordered one

DOXA SUB 5000T Professional Divers Watch by DOXA watches, SWISS MADE WATCHES since 1889|

Dirk Pitt!!!!!!

I've been meaning to pick one of these up for years.

If you find a deal on these, let me know. Maybe we can get a deal if we each buy one...

Joe,

Click the link that I posted, I was prepared to pay $3500.00 for this watch last year, this COSC certified at $2249.00 ends March 31st, damn good deal in my opinion

I've been watching Timezone and Watchseek.

Lots of used ones out there...just have to find the right deal.

I tried to get Doxa to open me up as an Authorized Dealer a few years ago.

Their reply? Ummm......NO!

If you are looking for the Dirk Pitt model, I will keep an eye out

It doesnt have to be a Pitt, but I do want stainless case with an orange face.

Anyone here ever had a PVD coating put on their watch? Any comments on it?

One of my Co Workers wears a Doxa Sharkhunter Military with the PVD coating on it, anyway he works on ROV's with it on and the last time I saw it it still appeared brand new

I don't have the budget but I could be into them. Have a good friend that is. He showed me the MTM line and I like those. I know very little about them other than it is an expensive hobby!

I've got an Omega that I bought in 1981...the thing simply won't die.

I've also got a Wittnauer that has served me well for quite a few years.

My newest watch however is a Seiko Kinetic Chronograph that I've really fallen in love with.

I just picked up one of these today at one of our local Rock Creek Outfitters. I have two of the mid range (600-800) Seiko's and a Breitling Avaitor. I bought the Breitling about 5 years ago, its in one of my wifes jewelry boxes, havent even seen it in about 2 years. Might look for it today now that I saw this post. I also have an Omega around here somewhere, I havent seen that one longer than the Breitling. Cant even remember which Model, other than it is Silver with a black face and leather band, its not one of the more expensive models, I can say that.

I've worn Luminox for years but recently purchased a MTM. The MTM is a nice looking watch but I like the Luminox more. The Luminox uses Tritium on the numbers so you can read it in the darkest of dark. The MTM only glows for a second after you hit it with a bright light or sun light.

My new watch. I wanted a simple automatic watch. And I liked the minutes on the outside.

Since this topic is watches, thought I would tell anyone in need of just a good timekeeper, just about every model of Times is on sale at Walmart for the same price, $18. They put out a Black Friday red box with about 100 Times watches, all of them are $18, Friday I bought two Ironmans and this afternoon another two. Same as buying 2 and getting two free at regular price. Not just a Black Friday sale, they are on sale as long as supplies last. Three Walmarts here have the same display (In middle of one of the ailes near the jewelry counter and each display has about 100 watches. Well worth it.
